Co-op, also known as cooperative education, is a professional work experience designed to complement a student’s academic major or desired career path. Co-ops are very beneficial for students during their academic journeys and allows them the opportunity to integrate classroom learning with hands-on industry employment, training, and mentoring. Cooperative education experiences enable students to develop a competitive edge and sharpen their skills that employers value while also fulfilling the University’s experiential education requirement for graduation. Co-op is available for students in every academic major at 外网天堂 and nearly one-third of the students who participate in cooperative education at the Mount accept full-time employment with previous co-op employers following graduation.
